Having a passion for learning and never-ending curiosity, I have worked in county government with first responders for six years, in the state government with service members for the last three years, and in a private practice setting for the last five years. I am very collaborative in my approach, I emphasize a need to do work outside of session to encourage personal growth so that you can build the confidence to deal with life’s struggles without the need for weekly therapy. Often times, post trauma symptoms can manifest in difficulty in daily functioning and relationships. I support clients in creating healthy boundaries with themselves and others while promoting healthier relationships and more effective communication strategies. I have the most experience working with survivors of various traumas, such as sexual violence (assault/human trafficking), intimate partner violence, as well as my experience of working with service members, and/or veterans. Special interests include sex positive and non-traditional relationships, as well as working with first responders.
